In February of 2022, I became the first motion designer on staff in the Brand department at Capital One, helping to steer the vision and standards of motion content across social channels.
I'm also training internal creative teams on using After Effects to empower associates to implement motion design in their daily work through workshops, custom tutorials, virtual office hours and internal summits.

August 2016 - Present
Starting in 2016 I developed a class teaching Cinema 4D and After Effects to students in the Experience Design (XD) track focusing on product design and innovation.
From 2021 onward the class has evolved into a 2-week sprint format, where students are tasked with learning After Effects and Blender in self-directed projects. These sprint projects can either be personal projects, other team projects, or anything else entirely.
The purpose of this class is for students to get their hands dirty, doing the hard work of learning these difficult programs by executing (and failing) repeatedly, so they have practical experience when they graduate - and not learning on the job.

As an Art Director at Metro Productions I worked with clients to develop a clear message for their project and provide visual directions based on their feedback.
As a Motion Designer I employed 2D or 3D animation techniques based on what’s needed to tell the client’s story, either in 3D environments, full-screen animation or graphical video overlays.
As Senior Motion Designer, I worked with business development associates to craft accurate budgets and timelines for clients’ story needs, as well as help craft the visual identity for the objective.

Provided marketing content and collateral in support of VibrAlign’s mission of creating exceptional educational content to customers and employees in the industrial maintenance sector.
This includes video production, motion design, 3D asset creation and 3D animations illustrating abstract engineering concepts for training or promotional purposes. I also supported marketing objectives with email design executions and copywriting.

Mad Box Post is a full-service post-production facility. Its services include color correction, video / film editing, and 2D/3D animation and motion design.
I specialized in After Effects and Cinema 4D for various clients including Wal-Mart, the Virginia Lottery and Bon Secours Hospitals.
